Book Summary:

Things are well for Callie and Kayden. They’re still dealing with their past and the pain connected to it, but for the most part they’ve moved on. The biggest decision they have at the moment is what they want to do with their lives in the future.

Eventually, though, the past catches up with them and they’re left facing tough choices. But Callie and Kayden learn that as long as they have each other, they can make it through just about anything. And in the end, they discover what they really want out of life.

Longer Review:

Finally, I received an ending I wanted – although could I have gotten an epilogue? ahhhh, I guess the sign of a good series is when my greedy self keeps begging for more.

Callie & Kayden are finally together and are trying to make their lives work. Is this relationship it for both of them? Are they moving forward together as a couple or is Kayden still tied to the darkness of his past?

The two of them experience painful life events together and try to figure out how to deal with things in their new reality: where they share their feelings and stay open to each other. Somehow when they’re together, things work; yet, when they’re apart, the physical space amplifies any emotional space that either of them may feel. It’s this struggle that has them floundering in their newborn, yet deep, relationship. I was cheering so hard for them to come out on top.

While they both have grown, Callie has exceeded my expectations. Her strength is needed here though as Kayden looks to her for comfort and solace. Callie takes Kayden on a sweet walk down memory lane, which was nice and I overall really enjoyed this conclusion for the couple. I was internally complaining a little bit as there appeared to be a lot of repeated information in his book that we already knew from the others. Duh, I’m aware, I sat through the first two parts of their story – I wouldn’t be here if I hadn’t.

Overall, this series is wonderfully written and completely captivating. It’s most definitely worth reading!
