Author:  Colleen Hoover & Tarryn Fisher

Book: Never Never

tl;dr recommendation: a paranormaly, romancey, YAish, mysterious ball of awesome.

Summary:

“How odd to be made of flesh, balanced on bone, and filled with a soul you’ve never met.”

Charlize Wynwood and Silas Nash have been best friends since they could walk.  They’ve been in love since the age of fourteen.
But as of this morning…they are complete strangers.
Their first kiss, their first fight, the moment they fell in love…every memory has vanished.
“I don’t care what our real first kiss was,” he says. “That’s the one I want to remember.”

Charlize and Silas must work together to uncover the truth about what happened to them and why.  But the more they learn about the couple they used to be…the more they question why they were ever together to begin with.
“I want to remember what it feels like to love someone like that. And not just anyone.  I want to know what it feels like to love Charlie.”

Longer Review:

NEVER NEVER is the book you’d get if you combined every single genre I’ve ever had an interest in. This Book Is Fantastic. Fair warning: this is a novella that contains a major cliffhanger. One that you will cling on to, re-read, and obsess about for a few days. Not that I’m speaking from experience or anything. So, if you hate cliffhangers, I’ll be the one to tell you that this cliffhanger will kill you. (too much? no. nope. no.)

Charlie and Silas have no idea what’s going on, and neither do you. We find them in fourth period when each of them has zero idea of anything personal about themselves: their names, brothers, sisters, friends, or each other. Yet, they are aware of other random things, like how to text, cook, drive, etc. They quickly figure out that they’ve been dating for four years but their relationship has been a bit rocky recently and then we follow them as they try to figure out everything about themselves, and most importantly – why they don’t know who they are.

The story is told through a dual POV, so you get to experience Charlie & Silas when both are clueless as hell as to what is going on. I was racing to put the pieces of the story together just like they do – and just when I thought that I knew what was going on, I was totally thrown. Ahhhhh!

Every page was like uncovering a new secret & a new pain. Will they get together and fall back in love (again)? Will their families get over the past?  WHY CAN’T THEY REMEMBER ANYTHING? You get none of the answers to these questions in this book, but trust me, you still want to read it.

Colleen & Tarryn do not disappoint – I am enthralled with the world they created!
