Adorably sweet and a little bit kinky, Cat mixes just the right amount of emotion with scorching sex in this scintillating short story!

Emma’s a quiet but fierce Nurse who is suddenly out of a job after a scandal in which she claims innocence and William needs her to care for his grandmother whose days are far fewer than he wishes.

While each of these needs are fulfilled, Emma pushes off any type of sexual advancement – she’s not sleeping her way through this job – and after accidentally witnessing William’s not quite vanilla tastes, she’s not entirely sure she wants to sample the menu.

I love a quick story that’s filled with hot sex and emotion. Tara Sue Me, who is writing as Cat Waters here, may have strayed from her Submissive Series, but she has not left the dominance and heat she’s known for. This story has absolutely wet my appetite for more from Cat! 4.5 stars!

tl;dr recommendation: Julia is at expert level on cliffhangers. Just hang on…we’re almost there.

Longer Review:

Book 6 was a hit of smut that has me jonesing for book 7. Immediately. I may have thrown a small tantrum. Good lord. *flails*

It was all going so well. I had rested in my happy place. I was swooning over Landon and cheering for Megan. I was reinvested in the story. I was praying for a break to prove their innocence. I was getting hot and bothered….and THEN I HIT THE BRICK WALL OF DEATH. also known as a cliffhanger. Which I’m intimately familiar with, but never want to see. Sort of like that creepy cousin you know you’re going to see at Thanksgiving but you’d rather he didn’t show.

Shit.

Julia certainly knows how to give you what you want, and leave you wanting more. I’m loving Megan and the force of her strength that comes through in this installment. She’s more than just a pretty face or a girl that’s hanging on to a bad boy – she’s not only sexy, she’s smart and useful. Be awesome, Megan.

Just hang on we’re almost there.

When we start book 7, Landon has a lot of explaining to do. This is a shaking your head installment that had me angry and vengeful and plotting Landon’s demise Bobbitt-style. Of course there’s another twist that I didn’t see coming and that had me throwing my hands in the air. Julia is at expert level on cliffhangers.

I’ll just be over here gritting my teeth waiting for the final installment – BOOK EIGHT, SAVE ME!

This installment had me terrified. Nervous. Tapping my fingers on the side table. Chewing on my nail. ok, you get it: I was uncomfortably reading and praying that Hunter wasn’t really dating Ally’s sister. Or is he?! Fuckity fuck fuck!

Despite Ally’s inability to force the truth through her lips that YES she is fucking jealous and NO she doesn’t want Hunter even looking at her sister, I still liked her. Because she’s brilliant, and frankly – I get her. Her insecurities are fed by her mother (as only a mother could) and force her actions. She doesn’t mean to neglect herself – she’s been trained to always come in second. However, Hunter’s not quite done with her, no matter what she says.

We’re once again treated to a cold splash of straight Hunter. If that were a drink I’d drown myself in it. The heat is turned way up and I gratefully lapped up every scene. The chemistry is perfectly seasoned and sweetly sensual. *licks lips*

I also laughed my fucking ass off because Lila is one of the funniest goddamn geniuses I have ever had the pleasure to read. There are so many laugh-out-loud scenes that I almost felt bad at Ally’s misfortune. Almost. It also helps that her characters are easily lovable and spill from the pages. So good!

This series has me licking the drops from the bottom of the glass. Funny AND sexy, Billionaire With a Twist 2 is rich with everything you want….except for the ending – ah! Save me, Book 3!

My finger hovered over the button as I considered what to send him next.
I briefly considered a topless pic before discarding that idea; if
someone from work ever found our dirty texts, I could claim someone else
had sent them from my phone, but how that hypothetical someone had got
their hands on a topless shot of me would be much harder to explain
away.
I filed that idea away for a day in the future when I worked at a company
where my colleagues weren’t untrustworthy sexist shitheads, and sent
‘miss u’ instead.
I immediately regretted it.
Not because it wasn’t true, but because it wasn’t sexy. And since our night
together, Hunter and I had been keeping our conversations strictly
sexy, and far, far away from feelings territory.
The phone rang.
Shit, had that been too much? Was he calling to say I should back off? Had he rethought things completely?

voice over a phone line, I blushed fire-engine red. “And you’ve shown me
a few as well.”
I eyed the door, toying with an idea. I couldn’t hear anyone rushing my
way with an urgent development…I rose swiftly and locked it. “Care to
see if those powers work over the phone?”

tl;dr recommendation: Trust is built, passion is enflamed, danger increases and the mystery deepens. These little morsels of a book are delicious and will have you begging for more.

Longer Review:

This series knows exactly how to dangle you right over the cliff. SHIT, MAN. We’re back with Megan and Landon and provided another far too brief snippet of this romantic and suspenseful story.

Landon’s hiding out, Megan’s lying to the police (and her own attorney *smh*) and both are seeking evidence that will clear Landon from the potential murder charges.

While they sneak kisses and touches, there’s never quite enough time for any more than that. I’m pretty sure Landon’s dick is going to fall off at this point with how much tension is bouncing between them without any release. JESUS.

Trust is built, passion is enflamed, danger increases and the mystery deepens. And then book 4 was over and I screamed for more.

If we were in fifth grade, you would slide over a piece of paper that says “Is Julia trying to kill me? CIRCLE YES OR NO” and then I would circle YES with big, bold red strokes, ripping a hole in the goddamn paper.

That’s sort of where I’m at right now. Dont say I didn’t warn you. Megan and Landon are officially ‘on the lam’ which didn’t sound even like a remotely sexy concept until they did it. Now the thought of seeking out the truth while hiding from The Bad Guys who aren’t the police but worse intermixed with comforting hugs and sweet kisses ALMOST makes me want to give it a try.

There’s more danger in this one and less orgasms, but I’ll forgive you Julia. The memory of the last one is holding me over.

If your this far deep into the story, book 5 will only wet your appetite for more. Let’s hope other wet things will get some attention in the next installment, too 😉

3.5 stars!

Instalove meets fate and rushes off to make babies in this enjoyable debut from Lizzie. It’s an enticing plotline – drag racing combines with an unexpected romance after Lexi dumps her potentially abusive boyfriend (we’ll come back to this). I love fast cars, I love sex, and I love strong heroines who aren’t afraid to go after what they want – and thus I settled in for a fun and easy story.

Coen is a hot, sexy, tattooed & somewhat vulnerable alphamale who can’t understand his feelings that so suddenly rush him when he meets Lexi. The attraction is immediate and the coincidental run-ins with her have him shaking his head and thanking fate. Coen’s your typical wham-bam-thank-you-m’am kind of guy – the no relationship kind – the I’m going to be an asshole on purpose so you don’t ever call me again kind. But something about Lexi makes him want to keep her for more than a night…makes him want to change his ways. I LOVE A REFORMED MANWHORE. swoon.

Lexi’s a bit of a conundrum to me. I felt that the break-up-with-the-boyfriend part happened too fast. I wasn’t sure what to make of him. Without providing spoilers, I didn’t feel that the beginning scenes in which I saw him allowed me to understand the whole picture of their relationship. It didn’t seem to justify or explain his later actions – I wanted to know a little bit more of his backstory to make things fit. Regardless, Lexi kicks him to the curb and I couldn’t have been happier.

Of course, she immediately (and I mean, uhhh, basically immediately) falls into the arms of the ever delicious Coen. Which was fine – really, I love instalove. But I felt that their connection wasn’t quite…there. This book is plagued by exclamation points, which often makes me lose connection and feel that things are being forced, so that was likely part of my problem. The dialogue occasionally didn’t flow well to me – something just felt a little off, even though I so wanted it to be right. Similarly, there was somewhat important character developing information that popped up in scenes that made me wonder ‘what?! When did I miss that?! Did I know that?!’

Regardless, I loved the spark that they felt with each other and the out-of-control thoughts that spin through Coen’s brain as he tries to wrap his head around his feelings for Lexi. He is definitely in hot pursuit of her – and is willing to protect her no matter the cost…even if he’s sacrificing his heart. The secondary friends in this book were well placed. The relationship between Brea and Lexi was sweet, honest and a total sisterhood. Her voice of (mostly) reason was light & pretty funny. Give no fucks, Brea. Give. No. Fucks.

The sex is steamy, sinful and completely memorable. I’d like at least one night with Coen, too. SIGH. This novella ends in a cliffhanger that you may have predicted, but that still made my heart beat with the need to know what happens nextttttttt. I’m so looking forward to more from Lizzie!

tl;dr recommendation: Sexy and fun, on the whole this baby gets three stars!

He offers her a deal– she plays his girlfriend and he digs her out of debt. It has to be so convincing that everyone believes they’re madly, crazy in love.

Longer Review:

This story is an enjoyable slide into a paradise where the billionaire’s feeling are locked down tight and the heroine slips into a situation that she can’t turn down.

Kat is in a tough position – her parents passed away in a tragic accident a few years ago and she has been taking care of her younger sister. The sister has just turned 18 and is about to go to college; yet, Kat’s not even sure how she’s going to pay the mortgage on their tiny condo with her paychecks from her waitressing gig. When Kat is presented with an offer from hot as fuck billionaire, Blake, that could change her (and her sister’s) future, Kat can’t turn it down.

She may play the girlfriend on the outside, but she knows that the second she lets Blake inside of her heart, she’s a goner. Blake doesn’t do love. He doesn’t do feelings. He’s a stoic, impassive, sort of robot – kind of like the ones that he made his billions off creating.

There were parts of this story I absolutely adored – especially when Blake’s eyes showed a little vulnerability or any scene with Meryl, Blake’s mother. I loved that woman with a fierce passion. She’s funny, smart, witty and just plain awesome.

However, there were parts that also faltered for me. Lots of repetition had me skipping over some words and skimming some scenes. And I literally grimaced everytime Kat got turned on and Blake touched her as I was anticipating the phrase “Wow. Wow. Wow.” to fall from her thoughts. Because she thought it. Every. Time. It became a bit much. The ending was also a bit rushed to me – I wished that the author didn’t skip over a very important week I would have loved to read about and then things wrapped up so quickly I almost suffered whiplash.

Notwithstanding those issues, this story will definitely satisfy any billionaire craving. The poor girl makes deal with sexy, rich man trope is a winner for a reason – I just can’t stop myself from loving this stuff and I don’t want to. Despite my hangups (which may bother no one else), I smiled and cringed at the ups and downs, and almost shed a tear at some of the sweeter moments (that’s a big deal for me!). Blake’s a billionaire whose wallet isn’t the only thing I’d like to get into 😉 Sexy and fun, on the whole this baby gets three stars!

This billionaire story is garnished with one hell of a twist! TWIST is Lila’s best work to date. And that’s saying something since I LOVE her other billionaires.

Ally is charming, funny and has serious mother issues (I’m commiserating). She’s focusing on breaking the glass ceiling at her marketing gig and she won’t let anything come between her and her goals – not even the intense connection she shares with Hunter Knox, her newest client who she sort of slept with a little bit. Seriously.

Hunter is sweetly vulnerable when his mask falls and impenetrable when it’s on. I loved that the quick wit and sexy banter that Lila is known for was ever present in this book. Sparks fly, sarcasm is used freely and the sexual tension is set to snap.

Get ready to binge-read, TWIST is delicious, light and goes down smooth. This novella spreads warmth and joy through your body….you won’t even realize you’re drunk on this story until it’s over and the cliffhanger slaps you in the face. It tastes so good, you’ll be ready for another round – 5 stars!

Longer Review:

This super fast read got me all worked up and left me hanging….cliff hanging that is. Landon Blake is mysterious, sexy & evidently wealthy. I quickly fell into instalust & Megan did too. I really can’t fault her for losing the ability to speak after Landon’s whispered dirty words. uh huh. We have a dirty talker on our hands – hell yes!

Megan’s working for a HUGE dick. Like a James Deen sized dick without any of the benefits that comes along with that particular appendage. Instead she gets screamed & barked at, forced to capitulate to his every demands…and she does it because, well, she gets paid well. Yet everything Megan thought she knew is about to change when she finds the man she met at the bar standing over her boss’ dead body. I’m dying to know if she’s along for the ride or if she’s going to stand up and scream. GAH!

This novella is a great showing by Ms. Swift. It’s a little bit of a clit tease, leaving me high and dry at the end of each installment just as the plot takes a wild turn, but thankfully there’s more to come *winks*

Julia knows exactly how to keep you glued to the pages. I was flying through this book, searching for a murderer, clasping my hands in fear as Megan is questioned and gasping with excitement when Landon reappears. You don’t quite know what’s going on – but you’re not supposed to.

AND THEN, ohmyGOD. I was so spoiled as I got the first three all at once and now my leg is bouncing and I’m sitting at the edge of my couch.

Julia gives us a bit more information in book 3 – and lets us re-live the heat that sparks off of Megan and Landon. Their kisses are passionate and their touches are brutally not even close to enough. They need to find the killer – and soon.

I’m a little desperate for book 4. I felt that Julia really hit her stride in book 3 and this lightning quick read was over way too soon. This is a mysterious, light, fun and sexy story that’s sure to keep you on your toes. loved! This series packs a great punch and makes you desperate for more. well done, Julia!

tl;dr recommendation: This delicious little morsel of a book has me licking my lips and begging for more.

A torrid affair consisting of one night with a billionaire? OH COME ON. You know you’re in too. The tie-me-up-slap-my-ass-dominant-sex is pretty damn hot and all of that Italian had me dying for a taste of Luciano’s cream sauce…yup, I went there.

Luciano is an alpha billionaire Italian soccer player who has been put on a short leash by his PR folks. He may have been getting into a little bit of trouble in his time off recovering from an injury and his manwhoring and partying ways weren’t looked upon kindly by his sponsors. Whoops. So, since he’s on lockdown, he decides to take a different approach and find an escort through a super secret agency.

Elise is just trying to find a way to pay off her sister’s medical bills. It’s hard to turn down an offer for a huge sum for only one night – so she doesn’t. But she doesn’t expect that she’s going to like it. She doesn’t plan to find herself in the confines of that hotel room.

This delicious little morsel of a book has me licking my lips and begging for more. Luciano is just enough of an asshole+sweetheart to make me love him and Elise is clearly a good and kindhearted person who is suddenly struck with the freedom to be herself. The Dom/sub vibe in this serial was well played and the sex scenes were on fire. Yes, sir. This novella will definitely feed your fantasies.

Some parts of the story felt a little but rushed, but on the whole I’m far from complaining. This is a hell of a fun and sexy read! Sign me up for part 2!
