tl;dr recommendation: Explosive and all consuming – Try, Take and Trust are on my all time favorites list!

Book Summaries:

TRY

Try – verb: to make an attempt or effort to do something or in this case…someone.

Sex. Logan Mitchell loves it, and ever since he realized his raw sexual appeal at a young age, he has had no problem using it to his advantage. Men and women alike fall into his bed—after all, Logan is not one to discriminate. He lives by one motto—if something interests you, why not just take a chance and try?

And he wants to try Tate Morrison.

Just coming out of a four-year marriage with an ex-wife from hell, a relationship is the last thing on Tate’s mind. He’s starting fresh and trying to get back on his feet with a new job at an upscale bar in downtown Chicago.

The only problem is, Tate has caught the unwavering and unwelcome attention of Mr. Logan Mitchell – a regular at the bar and a man who always gets what he wants.

Night after night Tate fends off the persistent advances of the undeniably charismatic man, but after an explosive moment in the bar, all bets are off as he finds his body stirring with a different desire than his mind.

As arrogance, stubbornness and sexual tension sizzles between the two, it threatens to change the very course of their lives.

Logan doesn’t do relationships. Tate doesn’t do men. But what would happen if they both just gave in and…tried?

TAKE

TAKE – verb: to reach for and hold in one’s hands or get into one’s possession, power or control.

Logan Mitchell is a man who’s always been more than happy to take what he wants. It’s a philosophy that’s proven lucrative in both his business and personal life, and never was it more apparent than the night he laid eyes on Tate Morrison. After pulling out all the stops and convincing the sexy bartender to give him a try—he’s hooked.
Now, Logan finds himself in a predicament that demands more from him than a smart-ass answer and his innate ability to walk away when things get too deep.
He has a choice to make, and it’ll force him to do something he’s never done before—take a chance.

Tate Morrison knows all about taking a chance. He took the biggest one of his life the night he showed up at Logan’s apartment to explore his unexpected reaction to the man.
Ever since then, he’s thought about little else.
At first he was convinced his attraction was based solely on his body’s curiosity. But the more time he spends with the silver-tongued lawyer, the more Tate realizes that their physical chemistry is only the beginning.
He’s starting to catch a glimpse of what life with Logan would be like, and it’s one full of excitement and satisfaction—a far cry from what he had in the past with his soon to be ex-wife.

Each man will face their fears as they begin to understand the true meaning of give and take. Their feelings for one another will be tested, as will their very beliefs. But now that they’ve found love where they least expected it, will they be brave enough to reach out and take it?

TRUST

TRUST – verb: to believe in the reliability, truth, or strength of another.

Up until now, Logan Mitchell has never had much of a reason to trust anyone.
Having struggled with a self-identity crisis throughout college, he’s spent the years since then creating a sophisticated facade to present to the world.
It’s an armor he thought was impenetrable—until he met Tate Morrison.
The gorgeous, headstrong bartender he’d sat across from only months ago has taken a tight hold of his heart, and Logan is discovering that it’s time to let go.
It’s time to let someone inside.

After years of placing his dreams on hold for his family, Tate has finally chosen to do what makes him happy and follow his heart.
The one thing he never would’ve imagined was that it would lead him into the arms of a man—and not just any man—the striking, never-takes-no-for-an-answer Logan Mitchell.
Tate has fallen hard, and as his world is turned on its axis and they move forward together, he finds his life becoming more entwined with the confident, successful lawyer.

Even though neither man expected the other, it’s time to trust in their relationship—but not everything comes so easily…

Longer Review:

THIS SERIES IS EVERYTHING. Really. If you’ve never read male/male before, then you need to meet Logan and Tate. They are everything I wanted in a male/male series – and frankly, they’re everything I wanted in a series.

You may think that you know what’s going to happen, but you don’t. I was pleasantly surprised with how Tate reacted to his newfound feelings for Logan and more than excited to see Logan’s determined nature push Tate (but never force). These two have so much chemistry the kindle practically bubbled over.

There’s also an insane amount of sex. I mean, they seriously can’t sleep that much they fuck so frequently BUT I’M NOT COMPLAINING. The buckles get undone and the cocks come out to play often, but their emotions actually do get the most traction. Frank does a fantastic job of making you feel what they’re feeling. You begin to hope, you get crushed, you rise *ahem* to the occasion along with the characters.

Did this really need to be three books? Probably not. But did I really care? NOPE. I was locked into the world of Logan and Tate and never wanted to leave. This is one of those series that will stay with you long after you read it. They are hands down now one of my favorite couples ever.

Get your lube out and prepared for Logan and Tate to give you a new experience you’ll never forget. Explosive and all consuming – Try, Take and Trust are on my all time favorites list!

Release Day Review: Us by Elle Kennedy and Sarina Bowen

Authors: Elle Kennedy and Sarine Bowen

Book: Us

tl;dr recommendation: This is a story about what happens after the happily ever after. About love, life and truth. It’s also about really fucking hot sex with two incredibly gorgeous guys. Yup, you’re in.

Book Summary:

Can your favorite hockey players finish their first season together undefeated?

Five months in, NHL forward Ryan Wesley is having a record-breaking rookie season. He’s living his dream of playing pro hockey and coming home every night to the man he loves–Jamie Canning, his longtime best friend turned boyfriend. There’s just one problem: the most important relationship of his life is one he needs to keep hidden, or else face a media storm that will eclipse his success on the ice.

Jamie loves Wes. He really, truly does. But hiding sucks. It’s not the life Jamie envisioned for himself, and the strain of keeping their secret is taking its toll. It doesn’t help that his new job isn’t going as smoothly as he’d hoped, but he knows he can power through it as long as he has Wes. At least apartment 10B is their retreat, where they can always be themselves.

Or can they? When Wes’s nosiest teammate moves in upstairs, the threads of their carefully woven lie begin to unravel. With the outside world determined to take its best shot at them, can Wes and Jamie develop major-league relationship skills on the fly?

Warning: contains sexual situations, a vibrating chair, long-distance sexytimes, and proof that hockey players look hot in any shade of green.

Longer Review:

Oh my sweet wes and jamie. I wanted to coddle them and get between them (for pure comfort purposes only of course). It’s like the world will not give them a goddamn break. While Wes is in his rookie season, he’s living with Jamie, and they’re more in love than ever, that doesn’t mean that life won’t get in the way.

Wes and Jamie aren’t out. They’re out to the people who matter to them the most but not to their teammates and not to the world. Wes is terrified that it will ruin his rookie career and Jamie is terrified that Wes will never actually want to come out to the world. Their relationship isn’t fragile but it’s certainly not as solid as they’d like.

For those who already love these two you’ll be thrilled and saddened to read everything that they go through but let it be known – I love love love these characters. I ran through the gamut of emotions while reading, hitting the highs and lows with each of them.

This is a story about what happens after the happily ever after. About love, life and truth. It’s also about really fucking hot sex with two incredibly gorgeous guys. Yup, you’re in.

5 stars!

Wanting him is the riskiest play of all…

Miami star quarterback Jordan Barr is the hottest man that halfback Eric “The Brick” Higgins has ever laid eyes on, and he’s wanted him in his bed for years.

When a chance encounter puts the two pro football players in the same town, the same TV studio, and the same locked room, the sparks don’t just fly, they burn. The chemistry between them is intense, immediate, and explosive and Eric isn’t about to miss his chance to have Jordan off the field. He’ll have Jordan naked in his bed—rumors of game fixing haunting both of their teams be damned.

Eric is one extraordinarily stunning man, and Jordan would love nothing more than to show Eric what it’s like to be taken by someone who knows exactly what he wants, in the bedroom and out. But Jordan has bills to pay and far too many responsibilities to throw caution to the wind.

He has to resist. But it’s getting hard….

Really, really hard.

Play Hard is the first installment in a three-part MM romance trilogy

WARNING: This book is 100% hard-riding, dirty-talking alpha times two. Read at your own risk.

Having him is the most dangerous play of all…

Now that Miami star quarterback Jordan Barr has had a hot, wild night with halfback Eric “The Brick” Higgins he can’t get him off his mind. Eric is under his skin, but he needs to learn a lesson—that Jordan calls the shots when it comes to these sorts of red-hot entanglements.

And that lesson will be conducted in bed with every inch of Eric’s ripped, muscular body bared for Jordan’s pleasure.

Jordan is the most intense, commanding lover Eric has ever had. Trouble is, the two of them have an enemy. As rumors of game fixing ratchet up, compromising photos land on their phones, as well as a note to pay up or be exposed. Eric’s ready to walk away, but when the threats intensify, the men must work together to figure out who the hell is gunning for them.

And working together can only lead to one thing…

An even hotter, harder, sexier encounter.

But the more they come together, the more determined their enemies are to tear them apart.

Play Harder is the second installment in a three-part MM romance trilogy that ends in a cliffhanger.

Play Hardest

WARNING: Contains two sexy as sin, filthy-mouthed, dominating, rock hard alpha males. Read at your own risk.

Trusting him is the biggest play he’ll ever make…

Jordan Barr is in deep. He can’t get Eric off his mind, and he’s consumed with wanting the sinfully sexy man. But there’s more at stake now than the pro quarterback ever bargained for. It’s not just his or Eric’s heart or career on the line anymore.

Lives are at stake and their enemies are playing dirty.

Both men need to keep their eyes open for a potentially career-ending blitz. But that’s increasingly tough when all Jordan wants to do is screw Eric senseless.

That kind of screwing sounds damn fine to Eric Higgins. He’s never wanted anyone the way he wants Jordan, but Eric doesn’t know who he can trust anymore.

As their enemies close in and time grows short, he’ll have to decide if he’s ready to make the biggest play of all and let Jordan into his heart.

REVIEW:

The third book gives you everything that you’ve been asking for – and more. You get to solve the mystery, obtain joy while watching Eric and Jordan explore each others’ glory [holes] and feel excitement for these two guys who just want to play football and love each other.

But let’s back up for a minute. When we last left, there was a major accident and we didn’t know who was hurt. I’m not going to tell you which one it was – that will totally ruin the fucking book. BUT the suspense is well used and well done.

Fox creates this sports romance with a shock of suspense that mainstreams male/male. I honestly don’t know why people wouldn’t buy male/male, because DOUBLE DICKS. I mean, how many times do I have to explain it? BUT if you’ve been tentative about it before, this is a great series to burst your cherry.

Eric and Jordan build each other up and help each other down….oh man, the puns write themselves. This sexy and sweet novella is a fun, flirty and suspenseful package – this is a well timed touch down! 4 stars!

Excerpt

“I can’t wait to see you again,” Eric said, his breath coming fast as he tugged at the buttons at Jordan’s crotch. “I can’t wait to get my fist around you, my lips on you.”

Each button he popped was an orchestrated symphony of torture, driving Jordan’s desire higher. By the time Eric tugged his jeans down his legs to pool around his knees, he was ready to explode. His cock leapt forward, bobbing in the cool air that felt even cooler compared to his burning hot skin. God, he was so hard his cock was a deep red, with veins standing out along the ridge at the center of his length.

“Commando?” Eric cursed beneath his breath, his eyes glued to Jordan’s shaft like it was the Holy Grail and he’d been hunting the thing a damn long time. “Not what I expected from a good guy like you.”

“I don’t know where you got the idea I’m so good,” Jordan said, fisting his hand in the hair at the base of Eric’s neck, not missing the flash of lust the firm grip sent flashing across Eric’s face. “Just because I try to resist temptation doesn’t mean I don’t know what to do when I give in.”

Eric’s eyes glittered as his tongue slipped out to wet his lips. “Is that so?”

“It is,” Jordan said, his voice a low rumble. “And before we’re done I’m going to fuck your mouth like I own it. But first I want you naked.”

Eric’s gaze darkened. “Me first. I started something and I mean to finish it,” he said as he moved his lips up Jordan’s torso, to his left nipple. His tongue teased and swirled across Jordan’s tight flesh before Eric’s lips parted and his teeth bit down hard, sending darts of heat straight to Jordan’s already raging hard-on, making him groan.

Eric took his time with one nipple and then the other, biting and sucking while his hands smoothed up and down the inside of Jordan’s thighs. Sparks ignited in Jordan’s blood, turning hotter as Eric teased higher and higher until finally he cupped Jordan’s swollen, aching balls in one big hand.

Ah hell. Jordan cursed. It felt so damn good to be touched. “Play with them,” Jordan commanded, and Eric did as told, caressing and tugging Jordan’s balls with his strong hands.

“Now, give my dick some motherfucking attention,” he said.

Eric flashed a cocky grin, making it clear he liked taking orders. He shifted his attention, bringing his mouth to hover inches away from Jordan’s cock and licking it—just once—from base to leaking tip.

One touch, and a deep desire rippled through Jordan’s body. Yes, this man’s tongue was going to deliver unholy pleasure.

Jordan gritted his teeth. “Take it, Eric. Suck me. Suck me deep.”

“You have no idea how long I’ve wanted you to say that. How fucking long I’ve waited to taste you,”

Review:

Well shit, I want Eric and Jordan to Play ME Harder. This book combines a blackmail scheme, a football cheating scandal and two thick cocks, which is all just enough to keep you engaged and wet. There’s actually a connection forming between the two players – one that extends to a potential relationship outside of the bedroom. But they’re each at risk of losing something valuable to them if the news goes public…

The drama is layered perfectly between hot and delicious sexual tension. Both men show their alpha side in scenes that left me fanning myself. I mean, seriously – how can I turn down a book that promises slamming lips and hips together and dirty demands? Answer: I CANNOT. Alpha men are my weakness – two alpha men leave me breathless.

The ending of this one is a cliffhanger – of course – and it’s written in a way that leaves a ton of questions. I’m aching a little bit wondering what’s going to happen.

Play Harder is a hot and sensual quick hit that had me ready to score. BOOK 3!!!!!!! NEED. 4 stars!

Review: The Deepest Blue by Christina Lee

Author: Christina Lee

Book: The Deepest Blue (Roadmap to your Heart #2)

tl;dr recommendation: If you need to satisfy your craving for love, romance, and multiple dicks – Christina Lee is your girl and The Deepest Blue is your cure. 5 stars!

Book Summary:

Rugged and conventional Callum Montgomery enjoys running Shady Pines hunting preserve, except for the secret that’s eating him alive. When his sister brings a date for a family wedding, he can’t stand the arrogant city slicker with the stick up his perfectly fine ass. He doesn’t understand his draw to Dean, who pushes his buttons at every turn, but he’d never dream of betraying his sibling over some lust fueled fantasy.

Handsome and conscientious Dean Abbott is a research assistant in his university’s biology lab. When his roommate, Cassie, begs him to be her pretend date in front of her meddling family, he begrudgingly agrees to help. He doesn’t anticipate being enchanted by the countryside, the colorful cast of characters, or her sexy and brooding straight brother.

When contempt turns to passion and leads to stolen moments in a sugar cane field, Callum can’t help longing for the kind of connection he believes he can never have. But not even the world’s most heart-melting kiss can bridge the vast philosophical differences between the men.

Dean’s return to his urban lifestyle leaves him restless, his mind continually wandering to the charming setting that spoke to something missing deep inside him. Because you can take the city boy out of the country but you can’t make him forget the intriguing man he left behind.

Longer Review:

Be still my ovaries. They really shouldn’t be making noise at all AND YET, they don’t care. Callum and Dean made them throb and scream and beg to be invited into their inner circle. They are ADORABLE together. I may have a thing for m/m books. pshhhh. whatevs.

The basic premise is simple: Dean agrees to be his BFF’s date to her cousin’s wedding so that they stop bugging her about marrying a certain ex who would serve to expand their family’s land. When Dean shows up and runs into Callum they banter back and forth like they’ve been married for years.

Except that Callum isn’t out. He’s never been out. And he’s not sure he can be without putting his family’s business in jeopardy. But he feels a pull to Dean that he’s never felt with anyone before – the crazy part is that for a good portion of this book neither of them know that the other is available or interested…and YET you could feel the intensity with every glance and slight touch.

A little angsty but with so much more love, Lee develops deep characters with deeper feelings. I genuinely liked each guy and I LOVED when they decided that they liked each other too. If you need to satisfy your craving for love, romance, and multiple dicks – Christina Lee is your girl and The Deepest Blue is your cure.

Review: Understatement of the Year by Sarina Bowen

Author: Sarina Bowen

Book: Understatement of the Year (The Ivy Years #3)

tl;dr recommendation: I loved Rikker and Graham. and they love each other. repeatedly. in lots of positions. and places. YUM. 4 stars!

Book Summary:

What happened in high school stayed in high school. Until now.

Five years ago, Michael Graham betrayed the only person who ever really knew him. Since then, he’s made an art of hiding his sexuality from everyone. Including himself.

So it’s a shock when his past strolls right into the Harkness College locker room, sporting a bag of hockey gear and the same slow smile that had always rendered Graham defenseless. For Graham, there is only one possible reaction: total, debilitating panic. With one loose word, the team’s new left wing could destroy Graham’s life as he knows it.

John Rikker is stuck being the new guy. Again. And it’s worse than usual, because the media has latched onto the story of the only “out” player in Division One hockey. As the satellite trucks line the sidewalk outside the rink, his new teammates are not amused.

And one player in particular looks sick every time he enters the room.

Rikker didn’t exactly expect a warm welcome from Graham. But the guy won’t even meet his eyes. From the looks of it, his former… best friend / boyfriend / whatever isn’t doing so well. He drinks too much and can’t focus during practice.

Either the two loneliest guys on the team will self destruct from all the new pressures in their lives, or they can navigate the pain to find a way back to one another. To say that it won’t be easy is the Understatement of the Year.

THIS BOOK IS A STANDALONE. NO CLIFFHANGERS. NO PRIOR EXPERIENCE NECESSARY.

Warning: unlike the other books in this series, this heartbreaking love story is about two guys. Contains sexual situations, dance music, snarky t-shirts and a poker-playing grandmother.

Longer Review:

New Adult, m/m is always a win for me…add in hockey players and you’ve hit the hat trick. Rikker and Graham were sweet, endearing, stubborn and sexy men who struggle to find their soft landing in a hardened world.

While Rikker is very out – I mean, he couldn’t be any more OUT as the first openly gay hockey player in NCAA history – he’s not exactly thrilled about the role he was thrust into. When he joins Graham’s hockey team it’s like being tossed into a mixing bowl of emotions. He’s thrilled to see his first love again – but he’s also pissed when Graham refuses to acknowledge him.

Graham is more of an enigmatic character. He struggles with his feelings for Rikker. He doesn’t want life to be harder for him. He doesn’t want to feel the things he feels for Rikker. But he does. And it’s suffocating him. You can feel Graham’s hurt – and when he starts to lift the heavy burden on his shoulders, it’s like you’re suddenly lighter too.

There are some sexy scenes to tide you over, but this book is more about plot than about sex.  I do wish that we had a bit more there at the ending…I felt that it just sort of stopped. However, on the whole I loved Rikker and Graham. and they love each other. repeatedly. in lots of positions. and places. YUM.

I’m a little in love with Sarina Bowen and this book has only enhanced the fangirling. Perfectly written prose engaged me and her words made me just plain feel. Graham most definitely speaks softly and carries a big stick. *wink* 4 stars!

Review: Let Love Live by Melissa Collins

Author: Melissa Collins

Book: Let Love Live (Love #5)

tl;dr recommendation: Oh hi tears. Welcome. Good to see you again. 4 stars.

Book Summary:

Who would you become if you lost the only person who ever mattered?

For twenty-six year old Dylan Hopkins, the answer is easy. He’s become no one. Memories of the happier times are all he has left as he finds himself meandering numbly through his now dull life. Though he cares about his work and family dearly, he’s yet to let himself find love again. Afraid of letting go of what he once had, Dylan chooses to keep his heart buried, where it belongs, having died a long time ago.

Conner Michelson is about to change everything Dylan knows. He’s every bit the bad boy persona – tatted up, ex-MMA fighter, but after an injury leaves him unable to fight, he has to rethink his goals. Having just opened his own gym, Conner can cross his first major life accomplishment off his very short list. Next up: find a man he can settle down with and build a family. Seems simple enough – a dream most people have, but when he meets Dylan, his carefree, easy-going life is thrown into a tailspin.

Determined to keep Dylan in his life, Conner vows to resurrect Dylan’s long ago buried heart and let love live once more.

Longer Review:

Oh hi tears. Welcome. Good to see you again.

I’m not sure quite how I feel about Melissa throwing us to the wolves in the past portion of this book, making me CARE, and then ripping my heart out. I knew that Dylan has been through a traumatic experience from reading the blurb, but I didn’t realize that we too were going to travel with him back to the past and watch him and Shane fall in love before tragedy strikes. Good lord, a girl could use a warning. So this is yours.

I sometimes felt that I was speed reading the past – not because it was badly written – because I knew it ended badly and my poor heart couldn’t take it. We spend a good fifty percent of this book with Shane and Dylan’s love story. It’s a beautiful NA m/m love story that I could have read all day – I just really fucking wanted a happier ending. And then we move on to what I call the Connor-half of the story – but Melissa doesn’t let you off the hook. Once we got to the present, the emotions don’t go away.

Connor, the former MMA fighter turned gym owner, hasn’t exactly had an easy go of life and watching the two imperfect men come together to find each other was sweet and wholesome. It was also really fucking hot. Dual cocks is one of my favorite romance subgenres (I renamed it, okay?) and Let Love Live let me enjoy every inch of these men. thankyouverymuch.

This book is well written and emotion inducing. I would blame the fact that it was 2am when I was reading this for the tears that rolled out of my eyes, but truth be told, Melissa hit me in the heart and sucked the feels out of me. Emotional while still sexy as hell, Dylan was worth the fight. 4 stars!

Review:

Innocent crushes, curious glances and unknown feelings turn into first love, slippery cocks and devastation.TIED TOGETHER is a feel good m/m romance full of lots of angst (LOTS) but ultimately a sweet look at a relationship spanning eighteen years.

We start off with Brandon and Ryan as they meet in high school and there’s definitely a spark that ignites when the two share their first glance. Ryan’s out and about and ready to throw himself a pride parade down Main Street, while Brandon refuses to acknowledge the lingering feelings inside of him. I seriously laughed out loud at Ryan’s coming out to his parents – ohmygod, so so funny. What isn’t funny is Brandon’s life at home. The two couldn’t be more opposite, and yet they seem to mesh so well together.

Their time in college only grows their deepening friendship – and something more. I really loved the building heat that grew between them. Crossing the line from friendship to more was hot, sexy and delicious. Of course, right as we uhhh get to the good stuff, Bad Shit happens and drama ensues. GAHHHH.

I sort of felt that I read three separate books. The writing is great, as were the characters, yet the time jumping really messed with me and when we meet Brandon later in life he’s changed so drastically that it caught me a little off guard. I mean, I LOVED the change, but didn’t feel that there was enough in the story to explain it. Additionally, if you like your characters together for most of the book – be warned. While when they ARE together it’s lightning hot and Full of Feels, they suffer from a boomerang relationship.

Regardless, Brandon and Ryan are memorable to each other and as characters. Their love is all consuming and incredibly hot. Wet kisses, open hearts and timeless love gets this one 3.75 stars!

Tied Together Teaser 3

Excerpt

I was outed by accident when I was seventeen years old. I had a whole elaborate plan how I was going to tell my parents I was gay. I was going to decorate my family’s living room with rainbow-colored flags, cook up some rainbow Jell-O, and have a Cher CD playing. I didn’t even like Cher, but from what I heard, she was a gay idol. My outing was going to be the baddest bitch of a coming-out party known to man. Even though I had the elaborate plan in my head, the other part of my mind had horrible images of my parents sobbing on the couch, holding each other for support. They would ask themselves what they did wrong in raising me to make me want to stick my dick up another guy’s pooper. I imagined my baby sister, Cara, would point and laugh at me, asking if I wanted to wear her high heels to homecoming. The answer would be no, I was a flats only kind of guy. Just because I was gay didn’t mean I dressed in drag.

My folks would then throw me out of the house, and I would be forced to live on the streets and turn tricks for some pimp named Rocco with diamond-studded grills.

I was in my father’s woodshed making out with Peter Collins. We were both seniors but went to different high schools. Peter was the definition of California Valley girl—but the male counterpoint. He was hot, sexy, blond, and built, but as bright as a broken light bulb. His lack of brain cells worked in my favor because, unfortunately, I was a complete moron when it came to anything that had to do with sex. The only relationship my dick had was with my hand and a bunch of gay porn sites. For some miraculous reason, there I was, sticking my tongue down Peter’s throat. I would never forget the conversation we had in that shed.

“You have the sweetest lips,” I said. I tried to sound as romantic as I possibly could because what does one say when one is lying on dirt and concrete. I was also trying to distract Peter with my lack of sexual experience by whispering sweet nothings in his ear. “Peter, I love the way you smell.” Or: “Peter, you have such beautiful eyes; they’re the color of a blooming iris.” And my favorite: “Peter your breath smells so minty sweet. What toothpaste do you use?”

I didn’t get much of a reaction.

“I could kiss you all day.” I was going with the sweet nothings and threw in some dreamy eye action for good measure. I watched a lot of gay porn. Sometimes the actors would say romantic stuff like that to further the mood. Okay, that’s a lie. I had no idea if they did those kinds of things because I was too busy watching them bone and comparing their dick size to my own. Which I have to say, my cock averaged with most of them.

“I have a better idea. Since I don’thave all day; why don’t you get down there and suck me off so I won’t be late for track practice.”

Fuck. I knew I should have never taken lessons from watching Pretty Woman. Julia Roberts had one of the most famous seductions scenes. However, I was picking up vibes Peter didn’t give a rat’s ass about seduction. I was totally naive about these things.

I broke the kiss and moved down Peter’s body until I came face-to-face with his zipper. Shit, shit, shit. I’ve seen plenty of guys giving blow jobs in porn, and I thought hard to remember some techniques they used. There was the tongue swirl that concentrated just on the tip. The suck and twist, which had some head-bobbing action combined with the wrist-turning work. Oh, I couldn’t forget jingle balls, which included working the guy’s nut sack and sucking at the same time. That was my personal favorite. Finally, there was the dreaded choke. The choke was when a dude stuffed his man meat all the way down your throat, and you choked, gasped for air, and prayed you didn’t upchuck.

I tentatively took his zipper into my fingers and pulled it down. With each click of the zipper, sweat broke out on my forehead and my hands shook like I was a drug addict jonesing for a hit. Click, click, click.

“You’ve done this before, right?” Peter lifted his head from the floor and narrowed his eyes.

“Fuck yeah, I have,” I lied. I tried once to suck my own dick by contorting like a Cirque du Soleil performer. I completely failed, falling off my bed and getting a black eye by slamming into the nightstand in the process. That had been an interesting one to explain to my mother.

Once Peter’s zipper was down all the way, I reached into his jeans and then into his boxers. I felt the velvet, hardening skin and thick veins of his length. I put my hand around him and marveled how it filled my entire palm. Pulling him all the way out, his cock came free from his jeans with a thud, and my eyes went as wide as saucers. This was not a penis but an anaconda. His dick was a weapon of mass destruction and could have had its own area code. To make matters more frightening, Peter was uncut. I was dealing with a hybrid: an anaconda turtle. I eyed the monstrosity with my mouth agape.

“Impressive, isn’t it.” Peter smiled so brightly it lit up the dark shed.

“Umm, y-y-ya,” I stuttered. I froze and my eyes widened. How was I going to fit that monstrosity in my mouth?

“Well, what the fuck are you waiting for?” He put his hand behind my head and pushed me toward the devil hybrid reptile.

I took a deep breath and said a little prayer in my head. Dear God, please don’t let my family find me asphyxiated from this giant purple-headed Amazonian constrictor.

I should have made out a living will. Yes, I was only seventeen, but I had convinced myself I was going to suffocate with this dick in my mouth. I supposed there could be worse ways to die. Such as never having a dick in my mouth, ever. I mulled over my blow job options and thought of a plan of action. First I would swirl my tongue over the head of his penis, which I now named Cockzilla. But what happened if my tongue got caught in the foreskin. There was so much of it, I had no idea if it hid the secrets to life or, you know, maybe his car keys or wallet. Or maybe there was a little kangaroo joey snuggling tightly in its comfy papoose.

“Yeah, that’s it. Lick it.” Peter closed his eyes, and his head fell back on the sooty ground.

I flattened my tongue and ran in up the length of his shaft. I could have sworn it took twenty minutes to get from the base of his cock back to the tip; that’s how fucking long he was.

“Stop teasing, dude. Fucking suck it.”

Oh, baby Christ in the damn manger. I opened my mouth wide, held the bottom of his shaft, and stuck his cock in my mouth.

“Fuck yes!” Peter cried out. I tasted pre-cum leaking from his tip. I already had a familiarity of what come tasted like because I may or may not have licked a little of my own.

Of course, this was for research purposes only. I took Peter in as far as I could and started bobbing my head up and down like a pecking chicken. He placed his hand firmly in my hair, leading me in a rhythm that felt good for him. By that time, I was rock hard and afraid I was going to make a complete ass out of myself by coming in my pants. However, I couldn’t ignore my throbbing dick, so I rubbed myself through my jeans with my free hand. Peter began thrusting into my mouth as he quickened his place, and I knew Mount Cockzilla was about to erupt.

“Oh God, it feels too good. I think I’m going to come.”

My eyes widened at the notion that I was about to get my first load jetted down my throat. I braced myself, hoping to hell I wouldn’t need to have Noah’s Ark rescue me from Peter’s flood. At the same moment, the shed door opened and my dad stood in the doorway. Peter took that opportunity to release his load straight into my eye and the rest of my face before I could stop him.

Summary:

Vaughn O’Keefe has been part owner of the Hog’s Den for years. Privy to plenty of Disciples of the Road business, he’s never been more ruffled as when a new recruit named “Smoke” walks through the door. Something about the man gets his blood pumping, but he knows to keep his preferences under wraps around the club.

“Smoke” Callahan has done a couple of rehab stints and is finally clean, thanks to help from the Disciples. He’s on the right path and isn’t about to get sidetracked, no matter how much the guy who manages the bar gets beneath his skin. Besides, his last relationship with a man left him scared, alone, and with a nightmare of an addiction.

When the Hog’s Den becomes shorthanded, and Smoke is ordered to help out the one man he can’t have, his longing for the bartender reaches blistering proportions. Vaughn figures a night together should be enough to satisfy their mutual attraction. But neither banks on just how scorching hot it might be.

As Smoke’s past unravels and the one person he hopes never to lay eyes on again messes with all he holds sacred, it’s time to involve the Disciples. Problem is, he’ll have to risk his membership, his heart, and his own hide to keep everyone he cares about safe

Review:

I received this book on my kindle and immediately inhaled it. I didn’t even give my throat time to adjust. I regret nothing.

Two hot as hell, muscular men with raging hard-ons practically tackle each other when they collide. It’s bruised lips and marked necks and eye-fucking before actual fucking and OHMYGOD I’M GETTING TURNED ON AGAIN.

This book is totally outside of the norm and I loved it. Vaughn owns a bar that is the headquarters of a motorcycle club – but this MC isn’t your typical drug running crew. They’re trying to get clean, change things around and go on the straight and narrow. Smoke is a rookie in the club, working his way up to full time member. He and Vaughn have obviously met before and they hold stares that has each of them well aware that the other isn’t completely on the…uhhh…straight and narrow…but nothing has ever happened.

However, when Vaughn’s down an employee and Smoke starts to help out behind the bar, the two men find it harder and harder *cough* to limit their interaction to only passing glances. When the tension finally comes to a head [ohmygod I can’t stop myself], they let themselves explore the vibrating need between them. It starts as a let’s-fuck-this-tension-away-for-one-night plan, but it quickly turns into each of them running to the other to find comfort when Smoke’s past returns to cause huge drama.

I adored the way that their relationship flourished. It wasn’t defined for quite a bit of this book and they felt that they had to keep it secret (for a variety of reasons) but no matter what happened, they kept finding their way back to each other. It was beautiful, sweet and incredibly endearing. I loved the intimacy that grew between them. Did I mention that it’s also really scorchingly hot? It’s that too. I have a thing for male/male books and this one filled not only my need but also my heart.

The Darkest Flame starts as a small flicker and leads to a raging inferno. There’s danger and sex, comfort and love. Lee gives us heat, passion and incredible heart wrapped in a sexy story. I Loved this so hard.

FIVESTARS.

Excerpt:

I grabbed my hold of keys and tried not to slam my way out the door. I didn’t know why the hell I was so rattled by Vaughn tonight. I mean, I had been every night, but something about the idea of him being with somebody else right in front of my eyes, made me crazy with need. Need that it felt like only he could fulfill.

As soon as I got to my bike I realized I’d left my cut in the break room. I stood outside attempting to rein in my uneven pulse. I didn’t know what the fuck had come over me.
Breathing more steadily, I stepped back through the door only to find the bar empty. I’d just grab my leather vest and leave him in peace.

“I forgot my…” I stopped in my tracks because Vaughn stood motionless in the middle of the floor, veins bulging in his neck, as if he’d implode at the slightest touch.
He was always moving and talking with a restless energy in this bar so his stillness was a bit startling.

“Hey.” I gingerly placed my hand on his shoulder. “I’m sorry if I—”

There was instant recoil, as if he were attempting to contain the vortex of tension between us by vacuuming it in through his skin.

He twisted toward me, his eyes latching onto mine, right before I was slammed against the door.

The wind was practically knocked out of me as Vaughn sank his weight against my smaller frame. We were groin to groin, heartbeat to heartbeat.

“Fuck, Vaughn, you’re—” Heaving breaths surged through my nostrils. “I was going to suggest a truce.”

“Yeah?” he mumbled, his gaze fastening on my mouth. “What sort of truce?”

Blurb

All Gavin Walker, bass player for the multi-platinum selling band, Sphere of Irony, wants to do is surf, play music, and occasionally get laid. The problem is that Gavin has a stalker. A potentially deadly one. The threats he receives always mention something about Gavin being gay, which isn’t public knowledge since the record label wants to keep it quiet.

Mitch Hale used to track serial killers for the FBI. A live-changing incident led him to quit the bureau and start his own company providing computerized security for Los Angeles’ wealthiest people. Mitch doesn’t know anyone when he moves across the country from D.C. to California, and all he has for companionship is a pathetic string of failed relationships with women.

When Gavin’s manager hires Mitch to find the stalker, the men instantly hate each other. Despite the constant fighting, attraction between the two blazes hot, confusing the former FBI agent. Spending time with Gavin forces Mitch reflect on what he’s denied about himself for the last ten years. Listening to Mitch’s plan to catch a madman thrusts Gavin’s personal life out in the open for the entire world to see.

Can Gavin and Mitch stop fighting long enough to stop a stalker before someone gets hurt? Or will they stubbornly resist the feelings that develop when they’re forced to work together?

This is book 3 in a 4 part series. It is a spin-off of the Famous Series. These can be read as standalones.

Review:

A stalker, a hot rocker and a former FBI agent walk into a….uhhhh, book? This isn’t a joke – but it IS one hell of a hot love story. Heather treats us to a fast paced suspense plotline punctuated by building emotions and hard cocks. RESIST contains crazy stalkers, adorable hand holding, creeping blushes and enough love to burst your heart.

I’m flailing around a little bit with how much I love Gavin. He may be a hot rocker now, but his past is what has created him. His father treated him like utter shit, he tried to kill himself when he was seventeen, and those memories won’t fade – even though he’s a stronger man today. He masks his vulnerability with assholery and I assure you – he is quite the asshole in large chunks of this book. But it fits him. It fits the plot. It fits his character. And jesus, I can’t stop myself from loving that asshole.

While both characters develop in this book, Mitch definitely comes the longest way. He left the FBI for personal reasons and he’s not entirely interested in re-inserting himself in the stalker investigation. But one look at Gavin and he can’t say no. But he’s just going to push those feelings in a box. Mitch had to grow on me due to his reluctance about admitting the fact that he’s gay (although he had zero problems *cough* growing *cough* around Gavin). Thankfully, he comes around. *winks*

Gavin makes idiotic decisions, Mitch reacts with his hard ass rigidity, sexual tension abounds and you have a book that is primed to explode. RESIST is a testosterone fueled, muscle filled, panty melting story that left me completely satisfied. LOVED. 4.5 stars!

Excerpt:

I catch the tail end of Gavin’s conversation and come down the stairs in time to see him hang up his phone.

“I need to discuss something with you in the car,” I mention as I hit the bottom step.

Gavin whirls around and chokes at the sight of me. His eyes bug out of his head like a cartoon character and his mouth drops open. Then… he bursts into laughter. The little shit. Honest to god, full belly, tears-in-his-eyes laughter.

“What?” I snap. If he hadn’t started laughing I would have sworn I saw desire on his face when I came down the stairs. Hell, his tongue practically rolled out of his mouth.

“W-what on earth? I-I mean…” The laughter continues.

I cross my arms and scowl, waiting for him to stop acting like a brat. “Are you done?”

Gavin wipes his eyes. “I don’t know, Mitch. What the hell?” He points at me, waving his hand up and down my body. “What are you wearing?”

I scoff. “We’re going to be late. Can I catch you up in the car?” Annoyed at the fact that Gavin is still giggling like a schoolgirl, I snatch my keys off the foyer table and stomp outside to wait on the front step.

“Oh god,” he whispers in a husky voice as he follows behind me.

“What?” I yell, whirling around until we’re nose to nose. I know I’m being unprofessional, but I can’t help myself. He’s being such a dick. “Am I too embarrassing to be seen with? Am I not good enough for the perfect Gavin Walker?”

“No!” Gavin responds to my accusations, holding up a hand to keep me from crashing into him.

I pull back, still furious. “I need to lock the door,” I snarl.

“Jesus, Mitch. What the fuck?” Gavin backs away from the door, heading towards the car.

I shouldn’t care what he thinks. This is work.

After locking up and pulling the car out of the driveway, I feel like the world’s biggest jerk.

“Sorry for yelling,” I say at the same time Gavin mumbles, “Sorry for laughing.”

“Christ,” I chuckle. “Aren’t we a pair?”

“Yeah,” he agrees. “So,” I can see Gavin check out my clothing again from the corner of my eye. “What is with the outfit?”

“Is it that bad?” I ask, biting my bottom lip as I glance over at all six feet plus of beautiful blonde man reclining in the passenger seat.

“No! Not at all. I’m just not used to seeing you like…this,” he says, waving his hand at my clothes again.

“Like what?”

Here we go again. I’m getting all offended. And why? Because he doesn’t like my clothes? Why the hell do I care?

Gavin lets out a long, tortured breath. “All sexy, okay? Shit.” He looks out the side window, hiding his face. I see a crimson blush spread over the one visible cheek and ear.

“Oh.” I grin. “So I’m sexy?” I tease. That explains his mixed reaction.

Gavin barks out a laugh, still staring out the passenger window. “Yeah, like you don’t know that.”

He thinks I’m sexy? For some reason that has me inherently pleased. More pleased than I should be but hell, it’s not everyday you get your ego stroked by a rock star. A gorgeous one at that.

Aaaaand, I shove that right back into the nifty little space in my brain that’s storing up all the thoughts I want to deny ever having.

It’s getting crowded in there.

I clear my throat. “Honestly, the outfit is because I just couldn’t bear the thought of even one more day in a damn suit and tie.” I shudder. Gavin tilts his head in my direction. He’s listening, so I continue. “I felt like I was choking to death. It was too much like being back at the bureau. I just…Let’s just say I didn’t want any reminders of my time there, okay?”

“What does that mean, then? If you aren’t my bodyguard, and you aren’t management, who are you?” Gavin asks.

I force a grin on my face, feeling like I might just twitch right out of my skin. Gavin might not be pleased with my solution.

“I’m your date.”
